About 

Kontrast is a Barcelona studio of interior architecture immersed in the Scandinavian culture and design. 

At Kontrast we are sure that the functions, simplicity and treatment of light are fundamental to our day by day life. Our goal is to find sustainable design solutions and hace an ecological point of view through all our work, well design objects, not only to improve quality of life, but also bringing harmony to our environment, in private and public spaces. Our challenge is to combine the elegance of Spanish design with the functionality of the Swedish ... a good design not only looks good, it makes you feel good ...  

Annika graduated with a MFA in 1993 at Konstfackskolan, University College of Arts Craft and Design, Stockholm, Sweden. She completed her studies at The School of the Art institute of Chicago and the faculty of Fine Arts at Universitat de Barcelona. 

In 1994 she began her professional career at the interior design studio of Ferran Morgui in Barcelona and the following year she joined the interior design and decoration teams at IKEA. 

Since 2009 she has her own studio in Barcelona Kontrast, developing her work in different fields both in the public and private sector. She has collaborated with companies such as, IKEA, Joquer, Romagosa, ABB and the Government of Catalonia. 

Annika has developed several projects in Sweden and partnered with Swedish companies, highlighting the office for King in Stockholm in collaboration with Adolfsson & Partners, elected the best office in the world in 2016 by the SBID International design Awards in London.
